Mee Suah Soup & Minced Pork Balls With Maggi

Its December! Its a great month full with holidays. Something for me to look forward especially our coming holiday trip. Did not cook for the past few days because we’ve have been eating at the in law’s place. My fridge is pretty empty though because I am also lazy to go to the wet market to do my weekly grocery shopping.

My kids started with their 1st swimming lesson at the club and I am surprised my daughter got it the 1st time. Their swimming coach told me she is quite a fast learner and just once she get all her co-ordination right. For my boy… hmmm…. I was sitting at far observing him and he kept shouting and screaming ” I’m scared, I’m scared. I can’t do it. I can’t do it” Haizzz…. I saw the swimming coach keep motivating him. That’s my boy. A real pampered boy. He is 7 yrs old this year but his mindset is still like a 4 yrs old.

Everytime after their swim, both came back just like a hungry ghost. They will ransacked the whole kitchen and asked me to cook this and that. I searched through my fridge and just took out whatever I have in it. Some minced pork, egg, vegetables and mee suah. Mee suah is usually a fine dried wheat noodles and it will brittle easily because it is really thin and fine. Usually consumed by the Hokkiens during special occasions like birthdays, 1st day of lunar new year and weddings.  Hubby hate it when I cooked mee suah and he will never touch it!

My son come to me and asked me, “Mommy can you cook something within 20 minutes because I am hungry”. And I told him just wait and I will call him once it is done. Because of the limited time, I used Maggi Ikan Bilis cube for the soup. Maggi stock cubes are great¬† for soup and it tasted good as like you use ikan bilis for stocks. Not forgetting Maggi Cukup Rasa seasoning. This is a great seasoning ingredient for my minced pork balls. I used a teaspoon for it and the pork balls turned out great with the soup. Both my kids had a big bowl of it.

Here you go another simply recipe for the family.
