DIY Korean BBQ Party
Its been long since my last up dated post in this blog. Life has been pretty busy with the kids. Everyday after office hours, I have to beat through the massive jam, pick up the kids, cook for them, have dinner with them, took bath for them, teach and guide them with their homework, put them to sleep, then did the laundry every alternate days and the list goes one. It is as though I am going through a war every single day! At one point of time, I am thinking to get a helper / maid but all the kanasai Cambodian maid tak boleh guna according to my aunts and colleagues. So I hold back because I hate staying with stranger unless I don’t have a choice. Sigh…
Anyway though I am busy, but still managed to steal some quality time to spend with my group of Ci Muis friends. I have been chatting with my good buddy Sammi almost everyday. We talked about work, gossip about people and the most entertaining part is talking about K-drama which landed up into the idea of planning for a DIY Korean BBQ party about a month back. Both of us really crazy about K-drama, something that can release our stress and cheer us up!
So after the planning and coordinating, finally the night has come, the DIY Korean BBQ Party! We had lots of great fun that night. The most funny part is, the whole night we “An nyoung ha seh yo “ the whole night long. Hahaha .. kind of drunk d. So, here you go the food preparation from…. ahem… me off course.
The Banchan dishes I prepared… Kimchi, Pajoeri ( Spring Onion Salad ), Potato Salad and Oi Muchim ( Cucumber Salad )
Then we have Japchae ( Stir fried sweet potato starch noodles with vegetables )
Kimchi a must and the sauce and condiments for wrapping.
The first two ” Ahjumma” that arrived. Both were super hungry and can’t wait for others, so we started off with the BBQ.
The star of the night, Gogi Gui ( Korean BBQ ), we have pork slices, marinated pork, and marinated chicken.
The BBQed meat ready to wrapped with lettuce.
This is how you eat. Yummmy….. I want to eat now….
