Farm Chokchai, Pak Chong Thailand

I am back from Bangkok last week. Thank God the kids and Dearie Suki are in piece when I am back at home last Friday night. It is tiring but it is an enjoyable business trip to Bangkok. More on relaxing, sight seeing and new plant tour visiting but once back to office yesterday, my job is piling up again. Sob, sob, sob.

The place that we stayed is pretty interesting and highly recommended to all of you if you are an adventurous person who want to feel the nature.  When we received the itinerary from the secretary that we are staying in a camp, all of us got a shock. The mind was wandering what sort of camp is that and what facilities do they have? But we are so wrong.

We landed at Bangkok airport then transfer to the camp by van. It’s about 3 hours drive out from capital of Bangkok and we are heading to Farm Chokchai in Pak Chong. About 159 kilometers and you can feel the farm life in the largest standard dairy cattle farm. At Farm Chokchai we stayed there for 2 nights and had our 1st day meeting at the pasteurized plant at Pak Chong and 2nd meeting at our new dairies plant at Rojana.

Ok, not going ramble much and gonna show you some pictures from this place and you will be surprised how this place looks like. It is a boutique camp with equipped facilities and even with WIFI services in the camp but the toilet is a common sharing toilet with  very nice interior. Weather is cold over there at 15 DC and  I am freezing at night in the camp.

The special feature at Farm Chokchai :

- It’s the forest nearest to the Capital, Bangkok
- It’s the safest forest
- It’s a forest that is very private, with warm personal service and many conveniences.
- It’s the man-made, uniquely designed forest
- It’s a forest where you can work and do business with internet.

That’s the tent we stayed in and what surprises us when we went in the tent…..

The welcoming basket full with goodies prepared by the colleagues in Thailand. Thanks to the great hospitality provided by them.  Thai people are just so nice.

Before we head on for our meeting at the plant, we went for mountain hiking in the morning.

Then enjoyed our breakfast in a picnic style. Each of us are given a breakfast picnic basket with a cup of fresh milk. Yup, it is really fresh. Fresh milk straight from the cow at the farm.  I had a few glasses of it.

Simple and nice breakfast.

On our way back to the camp, we passed by a sunflower field and a corn field. There are a lot of activities can be done at the farm. You can go for the ice-cream workshop, the cowboy show, milking the cows by yourself, and also number of activities can be done there. For all of us, we prefer to go shopping than this because around Pak Chong there are few factory outlets where you can get some branded clothes. But it still can’t compare with the factory outlets in Bandung.

In the meeting, we are so welcomed by the Thai colleagues and each of our seat are served with kuih, cakes, drinks, coffee, and best of all, we can enjoyed the new product as much as we can. It is the bird nest with milk and malt and only selling in Thailand.

For both days, we had our lunch at the factory canteen. They served us with home cooked Thai food.  It is just so yummylicious. I didn’t take much pictures at the manufacturing plant because camera is not allowed to protect the privacy of the new plant. I could say, the new plant is really fantastic and its is amazing. I was telling my STP, if there is a place there I would for a transfer to work in Thailand. Hahaha…

Back to Farm Chokchai, for those who are interested to go to this place, you can check it out at their website here : Farm Chokchai Boutique Camp

From my personal opinion, it is quite an interesting place to bring the kids to feel the nature of the forest. But one of the troublesome part is sharing the common toilet though the toilet and bathroom is great. You need to walk to the toilet and I couldn’t imagine if in the middle of the night both my kids wanted to go toilet….. I’ve got to walk quite a distance with that kind of freezing weather.

But for sure I am going to plan for a trip there with my kids once they grow older. Perhaps a 5 days 4 nights tour to Bangkok. 2 night in Farm Chokchai then transfer out to Bangkok city and stay on for another 2 nights for shopping. Hehehe… aren’t this a great planning?Oh… got to save money now.

    The rate not cheap hor.

You mean the farm rate or air ticket. If air ticket it is not cheap now unless you get AA FOC ticket ler. As for the farm stay I really don’t know how much is it. What I heard is about RM400/night inclusive of stay, food and activities.
