Head On To The Beach Again
Its been a busy week for me. I was at Penang for 4 days for a convention and just got back yesterday morning to attend my kids annual school concert. Thank GOD there is no delay on my flight back from Penang and I reached just in time to see both of them perform on stage.
Well, I hope I can find more time to be back to the blogging world again. Just clean up some of the pictures in my folder and its time to blog about our family outing during one of the holidays last month. Yup, we head on to the beach again…. Tg Sepat with Dearie Suki’s uncle and aunty. Both my kids love going to the beach. We started our journey as early as 8 am and had our breakfast at one of the famous Seafood Bak Kut Teh stall in the small town in Tg Sepat. Apparantly this stall is one of it recommended by Jason in his programme “Taste With Jason” in ASTRO AEC. Gosh…. it is a big dissapointment and it is nothing special seriously. The Seafood Bak Kut Teh I had in USJ is far more better and tastier!

After our breakfast, we head on to the famous pau stall called Hai Yew Heng. Finally we got a chance to get in there and buy the Mui Choy Pau. We have been there for few times but didn’t manage to buy one. Maybe because that day we are early so we got the chance to see how they make the pau too.

We bought 30 pcs of Mui Choy Pau since it is their speciality and gave some to the aunties at home and also to MIL. After that we head on to the Longan Farm but again it is a dissapointment. There is nothing special at all and at the farm there are selling various kind of items.

We had our lunch at Ocen Seafood Restaurant. Well I don’t find the food is any great maybe because we have been there for many times. I think its time to explore another restaurant the next round we go there again.

We found this small stall selling maltose candy. It brings back my childhood memory and I used to buy this from an old man riding a bicycle with a umbrella. My kids never try this candy before and I bought for them that day after our lunch at the restaurant. Today’s maltose candy came with flavour in it. ie: strawberry, grapes, apple, orange but I still prefer the traditional flavour of maltose candy.

After our lunch, the kids insisted Dearie Suki drove them to the beach. The weather is real hot at 3 pm and both of them wanted to go to the beach to catch the little crabbies. Only their Daddy will entertain them at such hot weather.

Their catch of the day.

Father , Daughter and Son admiring their catch. Hahaha…

After the beach outing, we drove about 20 minutes towards Morib to go to a small fisherman’s village to buy fresh fishes. I bought quite a lot of fishes that day thought the price is not that cheap compared to the market here. I think I am out of control that day for buying so many although I cook less nowadays. Hahahaha.. I think that would last me at least a month.

Hahaha… look at that…. my fridge is going to burst! Looks like I am preparing to keep food for a WAR!
